EMS / The product system

Inside the
EMS system.

The garment and controller form the EMS system, with MBODY app control for the 2011 family. Understand how the parts work together, then choose the coverage and control format for your product range.

01 / The basic principle

Electrical pulses.
A garment connection.

Electrical muscle stimulation applies electrical current to stimulate muscle contractions. In the 2011 system, the controller, garment and app work together to deliver and control those pulses.

02 / Controller

Generates the pulses.

The 2011 controller connects to the garment and provides 16 independent outputs, with an operating frequency of 1 to 100 Hz.

02 / Read the specifications

Three terms.
Three different details.

Electrodes, garment channels and controller outputs describe different parts of the system. Read them together when comparing a product configuration.

View product resources

ElectrodesThe garment contact areas

The 2011 full body garment has 20 electrodes positioned across the front and back.

Garment channelsThe garment control layout

The full body garment has 10 channels. The top, shorts and long pants have their own channel counts.

Controller outputsThe electronic hardware

The 2011 controller has 16 independent outputs. This capacity is listed separately from the connected garment layout.

Start with the coverage.Build the system around it.

A product brief can begin with a full body garment or a focused format, then define the controller, app and brand requirements.

03 / Compare the garment coverage

Four formats.
Four electrode layouts.

These are the 2011 garment specifications. The family uses the 2011 controller and MBODY app.

05 / EMS questions

Understand
the configuration.

The basic terms and decisions behind a connected EMS product.

What does EMS mean?

EMS means electrical muscle stimulation. It applies electrical current to stimulate muscle contractions.

What is the difference between an electrode and a channel?

Electrodes are the contact areas in the garment. Garment channels describe its controlled electrode layout. Controller outputs are a separate hardware specification.

Why does the 2011 full body garment have 10 channels while the controller has 16 outputs?

The two numbers describe different components. The full body garment has 20 electrodes across 10 garment channels. The controller supports 16 independent outputs.

Does an EMS product always need an app?

Only the 2011 controller uses MBODY. The 902 controller is wired, while the 2105C is a compact wireless controller. Both operate without an app.

What does 2105C identify?

2105C is a controller model. The same controller is used across compatible EMS pads and belt products.

Are the controller families interchangeable?

No. The 2011, 902 and 2105C controller families are not interchangeable. Match each product to its specified controller.

Can MacroSea develop a new EMS product?

Yes. OEM and ODM work is available for catalog products and for new EMS products. A new product can begin with an idea or drawing, followed by design, sampling, testing and production.

How is the garment cleaned?

Remove the controller before washing. Hand wash the garment, or place it in a laundry bag and use a gentle machine wash cycle.
